dog sledding
, Nov 2019
even though we went in the summer and there was no snow, we still got to go "sledding" It was great!!!
Very enjoyable time.

This was a nice excursion because it allowed a little sight seeing in addition to the visit to the dog sledding place. The only thing that would have improved the trip would have been a more formal presentation to the group by a musher. Although our guide was great, overall, the visit lacked structure, which made it seem a little less professional than other similar options.

Great experience! The puppies were adorable, all the dogs were friendly and the ride was AWESOME! The musher camp is amazing and the dog sledding presentation was very informative. Our tour guide Mikey was awesome. Mikey was very down to earth, knowledgeable of the area and the musher camp. He gave great insight into life in Skagway, and shared interesting stories about his time in Skagway that kept everyone engaged and entertained.
This was an amazing tour

The bus travel time to arrive at the destination was a bit long, but the scenery was beautiful. We stopped at various photo points along the way & got to stretch and take photos. The dog camp was fascinating. We got to play with puppies (3 litters / different ages). The presentation was very informative, but difficult to hear at times because other dog teams were getting harnessed up (they barked incessantly when being prepped to take other groups on their rides. The ride was exciting (if you can grab the front seat in the car, do it!). I'm not sure, however, if people in the back could hear the driver when we were riding. Loved every minute of our visit to the musher's camp!
The Best

We enjoyed this excursion so much. Our tour guide was great, friendly, and had some great fun facts about the area. The puppies were beyond cute, but was so impressed with the dog and summer "ride"- Michelle and crew are so great to open up their little piece of paradise for others to see their passion at work!
Fun and informative

The puppies were adorable and social. It's so cool to learn about these dogs and their work. These dogs and their humans truly love what they do.
Great Tour!

Mikey was our driver and tour guide. He was prompt to pick us up by our cruise ship for our 8:00 am tour and was friendly and eager to show us around. There were only six of us on the tour which made the experience very personable. We headed first to a waterfall and then to the Yukon to the dog camp where we were the only ones there which gave us plenty of time to interact with all the puppies and other dogs. Mikey has a great relationship with the dog camp workers and knew most of the dogs by name as well. After our visit to the dog camp, Mikey took us to several other locations where we were able to take many beautiful pictures of the area. He stopped several times at different locations to pick us many varieties of berries to try as well. Mikey took great pictures for us as he knew which angles were best. All in all we had a great time on this tour and the main reason was Mikey. He was knowledgeable about the area and showed us a great time!
Dog visit

Great overview and visit with the dogs. The Outhouse was a little rough but what do you expect out there.

We hope you had a wonderful time with us on our tour. Our staff and our divers try to do the best they can to make sure your tour is one you will always remember. We do Apologize if the outhouse was not up to the best quality. We would like to stress the fact that we are not the operators of the dog mushing facility we just utilize their services as a part of the tour we offer. So unfortunately we have no control over the state of the facility, we can only control our side of the tour the transportation too and from. We hope you had a wonderful time throughout the tour and we would love to hear anymore feedback on how we could possibly make it better. You can write us directly at Again, we are sorry it wasn't an absolute perfect tour, but we hope you had a great time with us in Skagway.
Better than cruise ship tours!!

This tour was fantastic. We toured the camp of a top ranked Yukon Quest and Iditarod competitor. Learned how these tours help the dogs prepare. Soooo much time to pet, hold, snuggle and appreciate these dogs.
This was the best excursion ever! Mike was an amazing Tour Guide.

The dogs were so cool and Michelle Phillip's trains these dogs for the Yukon Quest and the Iditarod races. The real thing here! Loved our trip and Mike was the friendliest and most knowledgeable!
