Ride an electric bike to the end of Ketchikan's 'road to nowhere' and then hike thorough a wildlife-rich rain forest on this combo eco-tour. Pedal from the marina to the end of the island's paved road system on a battery-powered bike, and then dismount to trek through the wilderness of the Tongass National Forest, following a trail that passes an active salmon-spawning stream, a waterfall, beach views, and dense foliage that's home to an array of native Alaskan wildlife.

  • Take a guided nature hike through the lush Tongass National Forest
  • Look for native wildlife in this southeast Alaskan rain forest

Skip it. You just ride ebikes down a busy street for no reason whatsoever, it isn’t extremely scenic or anything. Just basically riding from where they send out kayaks, down some side streets and on the main road to a public hiking spot. The hike itself was pretty and worth doing, but you could just go to the preserve and do it yourself for free. Guides were nice and had lots of information about the foliage. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it, especially for $150 a person.

We loved the rain forest. Our guide, Danielle, was very knowledgeable and was able to tell us detailed information about the flora as well as the geography of the area. The small group allowed for a great experience.

Ketchikan Settlers Pass State Park ride

Had an awesome time despite pouring rides. Bikes provide heavy duty assist. Scenery was awesome. Hike provides vistas of dense, beautiful vegetation and a momma bear with her cub. Knowledgeable and passionate guides. Authentic, versus a canned script. Heavy duty rain pants, hooded jacket and helmet covers were provided to make the excursion viable despite the pouring rain. Hot chocolate ( with spirits optional) to celebrate the ride…around a fire pit in a heated shelter. Great way to see Ketchikan!!

Eric and Grayson were amazing!! The e bike experience was wonderful. We started on the water with an incredible view, mashed to settlers cover where we had a lovely hike through the woods and even encountered a momma black bear and Cubs! We got to watch her fish and feed, we also walked along the shore and took in all the beautiful scenery. Best tour in Ketchikan. Thank you to the whole team!!! 10/10 would recommend.

We loved riding the le trip bikes it made the excursion so easy and helped us decide to perhaps buy one ourselves. The hike was filled with ample ocean, shore and rainforest views and it even provided us with free blueberry pickings along the hike. At the beach we were greeted by whales spouting off in the distance. Awesome crew and friendly dogs to greet you

This was a great shore excursion during our Alaska cruise stop in Ketchikan. The ebikes were fun and easy to operate. The hike was pleasant with lots to see and learn from our excellent guide Austin. Snacks were delicious when we returned as was the nice cold Alaskan Husky IPA!

Melissa was our guide and we had a great trip! I tried to not use the e-bike for fitness sake but had to give it a go at the end and it was super fun. The forest hike was gorgeous, and Melissa had lots of information and stories to tell.

    AWESOME ride and hike

This was just the most fun you could have on a ride and hike through the rainforest down to the beach. The day was gorgeous with breathtaking scenery, rustic, quaint homes. These electric bikes are so easy to ride. Tim, our van driver was great in helping each person get acclimated to riding the bikes so you felt comfortable. Melissa and Danielle were our tour guides and both quite interesting young women. They took great care to make sure you felt safe & comfortable during the ride and during the hike. The bike ride was 10 miles round trip and since it was an electric bike, turn on the throttle and off you go without wearing yourself out uphill. Ketchikan Kayak Company fits you with a helmet and rain slicker, which we didn't need since it was such a beautiful morning and at the end ride/hike were we return the bikes, there were some light beverages and a little salmon/cracker spread which also accommodated the kayakers that also went out of this company. This is a really terrific business!! If I ever come back to Ketchikan, I would do this again. Their office is walking distance from the port and dress appropriately. Most of all, have a great time. Thanks Ketchikan Kayak Co. Marilyn Periandri
