No refund for Extenuating circumstances!!

I called the company about 20 hrs before My fight and told them I was Covid+ and I needed to cancel. I told them I’d get a drs note if they needed it. No dice. It had to have been called in no less than 24 hrs riot to the event. I asked if I could Just go anyway (it is $430!) but they said no. I said “so, you’re not going to give my money back, but you also tell me I can’t go?” She said she was sorry and wished she personally do something, but her hands were Tied. NO, MY hands were tied! Make sure you cancel 48 hrs previously (even if you don’t think you’re sick) rather than just Missing the trip, but paying for it too. Oh, and I got my second booster (shot #4) 3 weeks ago.

The Alaskan pipeline and the operation of it. How the forest heals itself after a fire. Jake gave us a lot of information on the area.

Arctic Circle tour

We had a great tour guide who was very informative about the history and wildlife. Give John a 5+ rating, however, the arctic circle is not worth seeing. a 12 hour ride to see a circular shape parking area with no view.

We are sorry that you felt that this tour was not worthy of a 5 star review. Thank you for stating that our tour guide, Jon, provided you with an amazing time. With that being said, the Arctic Circle tour is a very long ride for sure. This tour is provided to give guests the opportunity to travel to the Arctic Circle, something that most people never get the chance to do on their own. Much of Alaska is still untouched and we Alaskans take great pride in that. This tour also makes stops at the Alaskan Pipeline, Yukon River and Finger Mountain where there are spectacular views to be had. Please feel free to reach out to us directly here in the office if you would like to discuss your experience further.

Laid back day trip

The experience of driving on the Dalton Highway to the Arctic circle was cool. Would have liked to see more animals. Only saw a wolf, bunny, squirrel, and some birds. This isn’t their fault. Our driver, John, was an excellent driver, I didn’t get car sick and I usually do on roads like that. I wish he would have known more about the geology and history. I got “I’m not sure” and “I don’t know” answered to a lot of my questions. He is very friendly and knows about a lot of other things however. Went in May, saw a lot of snow.

Well, it was a long day but driver/ guide, Nate did a great job taking care of us. He was well informed and answered many questions. The road is rough but he tried hard to avoid the worst spots. We stopped frequently and had a good stew for lunch.

Feeding the birds has to be my greatest experience, but of course I loved the whole experience. The driver was knowledgeable and was very safe on the roads! We all seemed to enjoy every minute of it. I’d recommend this to everybody, and, oh yes. The beef stew was to write home about!!

Fantastic experience crossing the Yukon

Crossing the Yukon River was amazing. Loved getting to the Arctic Circle and seeing wildlife along the way. Guide was well informed and considerate to allow people to shift seating in the van. A wonderful day way up North in such a remote part of Alaska. Lunch at the Circle topped it off.

Mountains, colour of tundra, fresh, chilly air, trees, huge grizzly bear showed us how fast he can run. I wanted to stay there forever. Very educated driver - tour guide. We were able to see much with him

Great day trip

Great day trip out of Fairbanks. Beautiful scenery. Very interesting to see the Trans-Alaskan pipeline. Loved the rest stop at a small local and picturesque establishment on the Yukon River. Much of the drive is on a dirt road so good to be with an experienced driver. Our guide, Bob, a long-time Fairbanks resident was very personable and knowledgeable about the region and enjoyed sharing information and his experiences. A tasty stew is served at the Arctic Circle on picnic tables in a pretty location. A super day!

A long but worthwhile trip!

The trip was not only special because of the beauty of what we saw but also unique because of the perspective we gained from our guide about life on this particular highway. Indeed, we now have a better understanding of those who worked on the pipeline but also others who deliver goods and fuel to people who live heart the attic circle. Jake’s knowledge of plant and animal life was outstanding.

Jake did an excellent job of narrating his knowledge and experiences along the Dalton hwy. This dialogue and interacting with us created a conversation amongst the group that kept all engaged positively in spite of an unexpected delay in our return

Best trip to Artic Circle
Stephen_L
, Aug 2021
This has got to be the best trip up to the Artic Circle. Dave made the 11 hour round trip fly by with his truly informative narrative on life in Alaska. To add even more to the experience we were served a truly delicious snack pak midway on the drive North but the icing on the cake was a bowl of hot homemade beef stew served as the group sat around the picnic table at the Artic Circle. Yes, it is a long day but this tour company makes it fly by.

Christina was amazing

We had a wonderful trip to the Artic Circle with Christina as our guide. She was very knowledgeable and caring. We saw several moose and other wildlife. Christina made sure we were able to get all the pictures we wanted and took several for us. Her outgoing, friendly personality made the trip one we will not forget. If we return to Alaska and book additional tours I would specifically ask for one Christina was giving.

Long day was worth it.

The trip north was long but there were stops at a number of interesting places: The Yukon River, Arctic Tundra, the oil pipeline and several spectacular viewpoints come to mind. We also stopped to watch a very large moose cross the highway. Of course, the Arctic Circle was the big event. Our guide Jake was very familiar with the Dalton Highway as he also drives trucks to Prudhoe Bay. He had a lot of interesting insight. There were a couple of comfort stops on the trip back so it went pretty smoothly. The road can be rough and it is a 200 mile trip north. A couple of things to consider: If you are the last ones to be picked up (hotel pick up) you will be saddled with the middle row of seats in a nine passenger van. Legroom is tight and the person in the middle seat doesn't have much of an outside view. Also, if Covid is a concern: There was zero mention of Covid and no precautions were evident. If you're uncomfortable with traveling with eight others in an enclosed van for 12 hours this may not be for you.

The weather was rainy, so that kinda dampen the tour. Pipeline was cool. Saw some wildlife. The sandwich and beef stew were an added treat and very good. Dave was very knowledgeable and interactive!

Dear Sharon, we are sorry that you did not enjoy your tour with us. Unfortunately, the weather conditions are out of our control. However, we are glad that you were one of the few lucky ones who saw wildlife and that you enjoyed your complementary home made meal. We really hope that you still had a good visit.
