Dogsledding so much fun!
Elizabeth_S

The dog sledding was amazing!Jody and Sven were great. Really appreciate the information about the dog raising/sledding/handling/ training. Thanks to Jody and Denali for sharing there culture. Very inspirational! Would love to share extended time with Jody and her family so I could be useful in camp. The yurt was too crowded with 2 groups. Never got to know the people in our group due to the necessity of dividing us up. Can’t make Mother Nature cooperate with Northern Lights- cloudy- but we came for the dogs and that was excellent.

You can't cancel this even if you alert them weeks in advance (before you are aware of weather conditions).

Hi Liz, During this pandemic, we do have a flexible cancellation policy in place. You booked through Viator. We never got contacted by you nor Viator regarding your cancellation. Only the day before your tour date, when we tired to reach out and get your hotel information, we realized your were not coming. We can not be held responsible for miscommunication between you and Viator nor by Viator not contacting us. We are sorry for your financial loss and hope we can have better or direct communication in the future.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE
Nicole_K

This experience was incredible! Joe, the driver, had a passion for Alaska like no one I’ve ever met. Hearing his stories as we drove to the yurt and during the AMAZING dinner prepared by Emma made the night so much more fun. Once we got to the yurt, Joadie and Sven (the mushers) did such an incredible job sharing their love for their dogs and mushing. Meeting the dogs was so fun! Our favorite was Wasabi. Another honorable mention is Heidi, the helping “sled dog” who brought an energy like no other. We were so lucky that the lights were putting on a show nearly the whole night. If I had one suggestion: make sure you have some killer gloves and a hat.

Awesome adventure dog sledding and viewing the Northern Lights. There is a nicely stocked yurt where you can rest in warmth waiting for the northern lights to appear. Dinner is served as you arrive. The dog sledding was great and viewing area for the lights is perfect.

Overall it was good, the only thing that kind of suck was the weather. It was cloudy so no northern lights to see.

So much fun! Guides were super friendly and knowledgeable. Dog sledding at night was magical. Tony kept an eye out for the lights and we saw them. Miriam made the most delicious meal we ate while in Alaska and helped folks with camera advice. An incredible memory.

Our guide, Tony, was great! We were picked up from our hotel on time. Tony was easy to talk with and had many interesting stories to tell us. The dog sledding with Sven was awesome! It was so interesting to hear about all that goes into dog sledding and the care of the dogs. You could tell Sven loved these dogs. The dinner in the yurt was delicious. Unfortunately it was snowing so we could not see the aurora. Overall, a great night and experience. I highly recommend.

Great evening and the Northern Lights were wonderful!! Getting to meet the sled dogs including puppies and then going on the sled ride where we also saw a few Northern Lights with our musher Joey was so much fun. And Marion made us a great dinner in the yert sort of round hut that is heated - good for coming in periodically to get warm while watching the lights. Can't believe we saw such displays two nights in a row!! Justin, our guide, did a great job telling us about Fairbanks and the lights. A really memorable evening!!

Petting the dogs in the kennel was great, especially the puppies. Had to be careful because they pulled on anything that wasn't tied down. The ride in the sled was exhilarating and the food and companionship of the other members of the tour were wonderful. the lights were not super, but there is no way to control that feature of the trip. We did get to see some though.
