Return Details

Returns to original departure point
  • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
  • Minimum age of 5 years old
  • All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
  • Everyone must sign a participant agreement, release, and acknowledgement of risk form.
  • What to Wear:
  • You should dress for the weather. Remember to wear long pants, long sleeves, at least 2 layers on the top, and socks.
  • Bring an extra pair of socks with you when you check in. When you take off your shoes to get dressed into your drysuit, you can put the extra pair of socks into your shoes, which will meet you at the end of the trip.
  • Remember, also, that everything you wear will go inside the drysuit, so it’s best not to wear a top layer that has a hood because hoods can be uncomfortable inside the drysuit. If it’s chilly, you may want to bring a hat. We launch our trips rain or shine; in fact, there’s nothing better to do at the Park when it’s raining than go rafting.
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers
  • OPERATED BY Nenana Raft Adventures

It was so fun & calming @ the same time. Drew & Darnell brought the fun. Definitely will get wet but the dry suits keep you dry. The scenery is amazing. Thanks for an awesome adventure for the first time rafter!

Andrew & Darnell, our guides, were great. They made our rafting trip better by going through as many rapids as possible. The “glacial facials” were worth it.

Great experience. Everyone enjoyed getting wet. Scenic wilderness. We got to see a black bear, a moose, a golden eagle along the way. Our guide Andrew was awesome.

At 81 years old, I have never been rafting! My grandchildren have also never been rafting. Our experience was amazing! The guides were super efficient and wanted us to have the best experience. Our guide was the best! Super fun and safe. Highly recommend this to anyone young or old!

Our guide, Drew was great. He was very knowledgeable and good natured with my family. It was a rainy and grey morning, but we still had a lot of fun!

Trip cancelled

No memorable parts as I received an email the morning of the trip saying it was cancelled. No reason was given when I called. They did offer another time but we had already checked out of our hotel and not able to do that time. We traveled from Florida so very disappointed.

This company is horrific

This company is the worst company ever... Prior to getting here we booked the trip three months ahead.... We paid for this trip we were issued a ticket for this trip and then we were told that it was canceled and not to come... After I called and complained the man that owns the company informed me that he gave me his word as a man that he would get us on to one the following morning... We trusted him I'll never know why after they had taken our money issued a ticket and refused to take us aboard... So we left the lovely place that we were staying went and rented another room for over $200 no sooner did I pay for that and we were given the old sorry we are canceling your rescheduled booking.. can you even imagine they ruined our trip they cost us hundreds of dollars oh did I mention we had to travel hours like two and a half each way beware don't go with them don't book with them they're horrific people

Dear Trudy_B, I want to apologize for the cancellation of your trip. We are in the business of fulfilling guests Alaska dreams, not dashing them. Unfortunately, one of our guides was injured at the busiest week of our very short season. We did our best to reschedule guests, but it was not possible considering the very short stay in Denali of many travelers to Alaska who are trying to see not only Denali, but also the Kenai Peninsula or other parts of Alaska. This rescheduling was limited by our first concern, safety. In the end I know we disappointed you and I am very sorry. Please accept our sincere apology.

Calm

This was a very calm intro to rafting. You start off spending a while at the headquarters, getting dressed in a goretex suit and learning safety measures (hot tip make sure you use bathroom prior to arrival). Then you get bussed a few miles down the road where the rafts are waiting for you. There’s only a few light rapids but you do get wet! Unfortunately the wildlife wasn’t out (we only saw a porcupine) but it’s a nice relaxing trip in the Alaskan wilderness. You arrive at the end which is right across the street from headquarters and you jump in a van to get there. Our guide was super friendly and provided lots of helpful tips for our stay in Denali.

Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery and a very fun float. Our guide was personable and witty. The staff was professional and quick about getting us on and off the river.
