Pearl Harbor National Memorial

Arizona Memorial Way, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96818

The Basics

Pearl Harbor is made up of both the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, which includes the USS Arizona Memorial, the USS Utah, and USS Oklahoma, as well as the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites, including the USS Battleship Missouri Memorial, the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park, and the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum (formerly the Pacific Aviation Museum). Most tours include just a selection of the many sites; others combine some Pearl Harbor sites with stops at other attractions on Oahu.

Pearl Harbor USS Arizona Memorial
Walking onto The USS Arizona memorial was the best part. The viewing area of the movie was disappointing - TV outside with just a few folding chairs. Before covid it was in a theatre. I understand why they moved outside, but a large projector screen and more chairs would be much better.

Well organized; entertaining and informative tour guide.

Salute to Pearl Harbor
Our tour guide, David, was knowledgeable, entertaining and very well organized. The boxed picnic lunch at Black Beach, and snacks on board were well nice touches, especially since most of the places are just opening up after Covid. I would suggest dropping the first two stops the Kona coffee and the pastry shop; we could saved time and spent more time in the last stop before it got too dark. But on the whole it was totally worth the $$ we paid.

Pearl Harbor: USS Arizona Memorial & USS Missouri Battleship Tour from Waikiki
This was such an enjoyable tour. Eli made it special due to the shoreside dock being closed at the Arizona. Small group size and very careful about Covid protocols.

Salute to Pearl Harbor
Our guide was excellent, but the tour is too long for what to do, if you have read about Perl Harbor, the Second War and the precedents of what happened there, only with the visit to the USS Arizona it is interesting, perhaps due to the restrictions of the covid19, the fact that the films related to the attack, are made in an inappropriate place, makes the visit lose interest, perhaps that is what happened to us

Half-Day Pearl Harbor and Honolulu Landmarks Tour
Great communication prior to the day of the tour, on-time pickup at our hotel, good drive around introductory city tour, and reserved entry to Pearl Harbor all went very smoothly. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, the van had plenty of room for our luggage, and drop off at airport was very convenient.

Passport to Pearl Harbor "All tickets in one a Complete Experience"
Ben our driver was awesome! Very knowledgeable and explained everything very well to keep us on track all day. All the stops were great, but we enjoyed going down the USS Missouri the most. The guides on the ship were very nice with so many interesting facts. Definitely do the passport to see everything!!!

How to Get There

Pearl Harbor is located on Oahu's south coast, about 12 miles (20 kilometers) northwest of Waikiki and downtown Honolulu. To reach the memorial from downtown, take HI-99 west to Arizona Memorial Pl. When to Get There

The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center is open daily from morning to early evening except on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. The memorials keep separate hours but are generally open from morning until early evening. Pearl Harbor is popular all year, but the busiest seasons are during spring break and summer and winter holidays. Go early in the morning to avoid crowds and leave plenty of time to see the various sites.

USS Arizona Memorial

The site of the largest number of casualties (1,177 crewmen), the USS Arizona Memorial is the best-known site in Pearl Harbor. The white structure floats over the site of the sunken battleship and is a place of quiet reflection. Tours start at the visitor center, where you’ll watch a film before boarding a shuttle boat to the memorial. Tickets are free but required, as the number of guests allowed in the memorial each day is strictly limited.
