The Basics

The Road to Hana connects the towns of Kahului and Hana, hugging the coast for a distance of 64 miles. It’s famous for its difficult driving terrain and spectacular scenery. Highlights along the route include the seven sacred pools of Oheo, the Twin Falls waterfall, the black sand beach at Wai’anapanapa State Park, Honomanu Bay, and the Hana Lava Tube.

Driving along the route can be challenging for more inexperienced drivers, so if you’re not confident or don’t feel like spending an entire day behind the wheel, consider joining a guided full-day tour. For a more glamorous option, you can also get a bird’s eye view on a helicopter tour.

Small-Group Road to Hana Luxury Tour and Helicopter Flight
I feel the lunch area needs to be changed. It's not a very comfortable nor clean area to eat. The tour guides Scott and Mike, pilot was awesome.

Full Circle Reverse - Luxury Road to Hana Tour from West Maui
Doug and his beautiful wife are incredibly knowledgeable about Hawaii. Very professional, on time, clean updated transportation, towels, coffee you name it, they have it. When we stopped at Dougs parents home, which happens to be on the Road to Hana, and we got the banana nut bread!! Yummy. Really great folks.

Maui Luxury Full Circle Road to Hana Waterfalls & Lunch
This was an amazing tour into Hana Valley. Very comfortable with stops every now and then to see beautiful falls and highlight was black sand beach. Beauty of this place is out of the world. Our tour leader Tom was a great host and super safe driver. He gave nice commentary on what was where and best was his safety instructions that were very valuable. Lunch was really good sandwich wigh fruit and Hawaiian drink. Aloha and Mahalo

Deluxe Halfway to Hana: Private Tour from Kahului
The tour operator went out of his way to accommodate our needs. He was great . That being said; Do NOT try to enter without a hard copy of your negative CoVid test. We were denied entry & had to return to Oahu because we couldn’t produce our PDF result in a half hour! They also quarantined us.

Small-Group Road to Hana Luxury Tour
Road rage was alive on the road to Hana. The beauty of the location along with a very experienced driver in an air conditioned tour bus made the trip well worth the risk. Highly recommend for those that would like to see sites not found any where else.

Walk Through the Hana Lava Tube

Lava tubes—natural tunnels formed by cooling volcanic lava flows—are only found in a few places in the world, including Hawaii. Explore the Hana Lava Tube (officially called the Ka’eleku Caverns), with flashlights to see about a third of a mile of unique geological formations, including “lavacicles” and a famous area that looks like molten chocolate.
