The 60 minute Tour departs from our Chugach Adventure Base and takes you over the Knik River & Glacier through the Great Gorge towards Whiteout Glacier, Colony Glacier and Lake George. Land on the ancient hard ice next to the massive crevasses and big blue melt pools, bring your water bottle and drink some of the cleanest water on earth! We almost always see moose, mountain goats, bands of Dall sheep and often times bears. **TRANSFER SERVICE FROM ANCHORAGE** If you do not have a rental car we can provide transfer service from Anchorage to our location (45 mins North of Anchorage near Palmer) for an added fee. Call us direct to schedule! **WINTER TOURS** please note that this tour in some winter months may not land directly on top of the glacier due to snow cover and safety issues, landing may be on the side next to incredible deep blue ice formations (an equally spectacular experience)

This tour only runs in the winter months from Sept 1st through April 15th. This trip will be focused on the Aurora Borealis aka Northern Lights. It offers some of the most amazing views that Mother Nature offers. There is no disappointments on this trip as you will return home with those ultimate memories and photographs of a lifetime! Our trips are not fast and quick as we love watching the lights too! Expect hours of fun, great conversation and learning how to photography the lights. For photographing the Northern Lights we highly suggest a DSLR camera with a lens that is capable of at least a f/2.8 18-35mm and a decent tripod for best pictures. The Northern Lights can be photographed with smartphones as well. But know that due to taking a time exposure, your best results will be with a DSLR camera. It can be cold (below zero), so be sure to dress appropriately for the weather conditions and have an extra camera battery. The cold temperatures can drain a battery quickly.

* A traveler said: "I booked this tour with Scott and it was an amazing experience. Scott is a friendly and knowledgeable man about not only the northern lights but all of Alaska in general. Of course the northern lights are never guaranteed but we chose a day where our chances of viewing them were high and sure enough on the way to the final destination we got glimpses along the way. I saw the Milky Way and shooting stars. Then after watching the clear sky for a bit the lights came out and were dancing in the sky!! It was a great experience and truly breathtaking! Thank you Scott for being such an amazing tour guide, I hope to see you in the future 😊"
